Sharing God's Gifts

In 2014 Marshall UMC decided to tithe to non-profit organizations annually. Most are in our local community but also include those far away that our members love to support. In 2018 the tithe amount will be 9%, in 2019 and there after it will be 10%. Go to our main site: to see the report.

Children's Weekend Lunch Box Ministry

Marshall UMC is blessed to be able to partner with the Marshall Ruritan Club to provide lunches for children at Claude Thompson Elementary and W. G. Coleman Elementary currently on the free and reduced lunch program.  Each child receives a Ziploc bag of items for a lunch over the weekend.  Lunches are distributed on Friday afternoon by the school and the children are anonymous to those providing the lunches.

Lunches include healthy options such as:     small cans of tuna, Chef Boy-r-dee Pasta meals, Mac’n cheese meals, a drink box, a granola bar, a fruit cup or applesauce, 2 snack crackers or nuts.

Our goal is to provide items that are easy to carry as well as easy to prepare and are high in healthy nutritional values.  If you would like to help, contact or make donations to     “Weekend Lunchbox”. Helpers to pack boxes are needed every Sunday after worship.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
with labels/instructions are available at Marshall UMC each October. Filled shoeboxes are due back in Nov.
